Well what can I say — absolutely brilliant service. I would highly recommend this company. They came and fitted a new boiler system for my 85-year-old mother-in-law who's agoraphobic. Are you Gas Safe registered?
Yes. Every engineer at Eco Heat Surge is Gas Safe registered — the mandatory legal certification required to work on gas appliances in the UK. You can verify our registration on the official Gas Safe Register website at gassaferegister.co.uk. We carry our ID cards on every job and are happy to show them before we start work.
What warranties do you provide on new boilers?
Warranties vary by manufacturer and model. Ideal boilers come with up to 12 years warranty when installed by an approved installer — which we are. Alpha Heating offers up to 10 years on their flagship range. We will confirm the exact warranty available on your chosen boiler during the quote process. All warranties require annual servicing to remain valid.
Do you service boilers as well as install them?
Yes. Annual boiler servicing is one of our core services. We carry out full safety inspections, flue gas analysis, controls checks, and issue a service certificate on the day. We also offer a reminder service so you never miss your annual service and inadvertently void your manufacturer warranty.
How often should I service my boiler?
Once a year, without exception. Annual servicing keeps your boiler running efficiently and safely, catches small problems before they become expensive breakdowns, and is required by all major manufacturers to keep your warranty valid. Skipping a service voids your warranty and can also affect your home insurance. We recommend booking before October — before the winter demand surge.
How do I know if my boiler needs servicing?
The clearest sign is that 12 months have passed since your last service. Beyond that, watch for: unusual noises the boiler does not normally make, only heating or hot water working but not both, any visible leaks or drips around the unit, the pilot light going out regularly, or anything that simply seems out of the ordinary. If you are unsure, it is always safer to book a check than to wait.
