How It Works

Danny or Adam visit in person. We measure, photograph, check pipework and flue routes, and give you a fixed written quote within 24 hours. No pressure, no commission-driven sales script.
Spec & schedule
You pick the brand and tier. We confirm a date that works for you — typically within 1–2 weeks. We'll order the parts so everything is on-site before we arrive.
Installation
Most installs done in a single day. We protect floors and carpets, remove the old boiler, install the new system, flush, pressurise and commission. Cleaner when we leave than when we arrived.
Handover
We walk you through the controls, set up the smart thermostat, hand over all certificates, and register the warranty in your name. One follow-up call after a week to make sure you're happy.

How long does a boiler installation take?
Most standard boiler installations are completed in a single day — typically 4 to 8 hours depending on the complexity of your system. A straight swap of a like-for-like combi boiler is usually on the faster end. Installing a new system from scratch, converting from a system boiler to a combi, or running new pipework may take up to two days. We will always give you a realistic timeframe before we start.
Are you Gas Safe registered?
Yes. Every engineer at Eco Heat Surge is Gas Safe registered, the mandatory legal certification required to work on gas appliances in the UK. Our registration number is 625881, which you can check on the official Gas Safe Register at gassaferegister.co.uk. We carry our ID cards on every job and are happy to show them before we start work.
What warranties do you provide on new boilers?
Our fixed-price installs come with a choice of warranty: £1,600 includes a 5-year manufacturer warranty, or £2,100 gives you the full 10 years. As Ideal and Alpha Heating approved installers we register the warranty in your name so cover starts the day we leave. All warranties require annual servicing to remain valid.
Do you serve areas outside of Barnsley?

When do I need a new boiler?
Most boilers last between 10 and 15 years with regular servicing. If your boiler is within this age range and showing problems, replacement is usually more cost-effective than repeated repairs. Key signs you need a new boiler: unusual noises such as banging or kettling, only the heating or hot water working but not both, visible leaks or drips, the pilot light going out frequently, or your energy bills rising noticeably. Will you take away my old boiler?
Yes. Removing and disposing of the old boiler, along with any redundant cylinder or tank, is part of every installation we do. We leave the space clean and take the old unit away with us, so there is nothing for you to arrange or pay extra for afterwards.
Do I need planning permission for a new boiler?
For a straightforward like-for-like replacement, no. A new flue position on a wall facing a road, or work on a listed building or in a conservation area, can need consent, and we will flag anything like that at the survey. Either way, the installation itself is always notified to Building Control through the Gas Safe scheme.
